Dishing Out Cosmic Soul, Sass & Badass​! 💫

 

…And then 2025 happened! And now 2026 is primed to be well, how to put it delicately, a refund-worthy kind of year. As in, “The 30-day free trial of 2026 has been a real cluster-f*ck, and we’d like a refund!” 

 

If you have no idea what we’re talking about, feel free to hang around with an open mind, heart and soul.

We’re not ones to sugar-coat life. 

​

To use the word disheartening doesn’t come anywhere close to covering what is happening in our world today. In addition to the friends we’ve lost because of Covid and Cancer (yes, that happens), we have let many more go because of a difference in core values - note we did not say politics, because this is no longer just a political divide we are facing. It’s so much deeper. So if you’re still here. We see you. We love you! Thank you. 😘

 

We are currently faced with a plethora of BIG concerns that literally a mere 13 months ago, we did not have. Among them: 

 

• Our safety (For example, simply traveling the country in our van no longer feels completely safe)

• Our rights as women and LGBTQ+ people are being threatened 

• Our fundamental constitutional rights

• Our healthcare (Sharing openly, our healthcare insurance costs and deductibles skyrocketed for 2026).

• Our financial security

• Our mental and emotional health - which also effects physical health

• The cancellation of science & loss of funding for cancer research (something that once saved CC’s life)

• The rollback of EPA regulations in relation to food and cancer-causing pesticides

• The disappearance of historical data and the erasure of words pertaining to our population(s): women and LGBTQ+ 

• Blatant, unleashed hatred and fear mongering toward certain populations - LGBTQ+ included

• Legislation aimed at discrimination against LGBTQ+ people

 

Not to mention our peace of mind, which let’s face it, is the most valuable thing of all. We are not alone of course, and while misery often loves company, as intuitive people and one a massive empath, this is not the case this time. Misery currently is, just that. So to combat that misery we have made a conscious choice to wade in. Not to be silent. To speak up. To address the reality and effects of the tangerine wrecking ball and its operators, who came along and tossed a 15,000 pound shot-put into our lives. And while some may see speaking up as brave, it is also sometimes terrifying, especially as we watch the erosion of William O. Rights. Yet complicity, is a noun we cannot comfortably live with. 

 

So, for people who say, “You were always so positive!”  or “I loved your content before you became political,” we say - US TOO! But frankly, that is no longer the time we are living in. You can look at it two ways: Either everything has become political OR the things the things that are seen as “political” never should have been. And toxic positivity helps no one in this environment. The rules have changed. The entire game has changed. And if we’re not careful, we believe the entire future will be at stake. We’re simply not willing to take that risk and here’s why:

 

• Human decency is not political

• Caring about other people is not political

• Accounts are run by real people, with real feelings

• Humans should want to help their fellow humans

• We believe our own eyes and ears

• We think for ourselves

• We read, watch and learn

• We understand history

• We believe in science

• Yes. There is such a thing as right. And wrong

• What you see is what you get

• We choose to live in integrity and authenticity

• We can speak out against injustice and ALSO post uplifting content

 

So, we’re doing what we often do in these situations; we’ve pivoted and re-invented ourselves, yet again. That could mean many things in the coming year, but here’s what it means today:

 

• Still and always Unapologetically Eclectic! 

• A lifelong singer and poet, CC is writing songs to stay sane and to connect with those who feel similarly about what’s happening. She’s a fantastic lyricist. Her songs span a variety of genres and a wide range of feels from inspiring to angry, depending on her mood. Checkout the new CCnDoc Music page!

• She has already released her first album and has two more on the way! Find them on your favorite music streaming platform. 

• In addition to the song writing, she is producing the music, vocals and music videos. Someday soon we hope that she will also be the voice behind the mic. 

• Doc is also re-discovering her passions in so many ways and we look forward to sharing all of them with you!

• For starters, she wrote a beautiful book about the Spirit World and delved into the foray of AI Art creation (she is a lifelong artist). See all of our book titles HERE. 

• In the meantime she has (to both our surprise) gotten quite good at video editing and has taken on much of the short video content creation, while CC focuses on music creation.

• We are continuing to do the Soul Work - the gift the cancer journey brought into our lives. More specifically, Doc has gotten certified in Angel Tarot and she is now offering animal communication readings as well.

• CC also has an art series called "Poopology" that's been a lot of fun!

• We are advocating for the Colorectal Cancer Community, The LGBTQ+ Community and for other marginalized demographics through our work.

• We are donating to causes that can best help with our current priorities. 

 

Our hope is to influence others to do the same (pivot, show up, re-invent) - though not everyone shows up in full makeup, with matching earrings and socks. But every person can do something, everyone can contribute to the greater good. For some, it would be enough just to open their eyes. If we, can convince one person to wake up or speak up, to see this situation differently, or if we can make one person feel seen or heard during these dark times, we will have contributed positively. So while you may be used to our uplifting posts on social media, our general silliness, and our overall positivity, it can these days be in short supply. We do our best to help share joy when we can. But we will also be sharing reality. 

 

So to all of us we say:

• Art is an act of resistance

• Music is an act of resistance

• Being a good human is an act of resistance

• Joy is an act of resistance
