  • FAST! We will always post them on the website first! Which means that you get to hear them and share them faster!

  • LOWER PRICES! We have our work priced cheaper on our website, because we don't have to pay commissions or depend on clicks for pay.  On Itunes, a single track might cost around $1.29ꜛ - The same song on CCnDoc.com is only $1 (Wix-set minimum). For Albums, it's even CHEAPER! Take for instance, our Album “The United States of Anxiety,” sold on itunes (non-streaming) for $14.99 for a 20 song album. On our site it's $13.99 - That's like getting 6 songs FREE! Speaking of Free, sometimes we will just give a song away because the topic is more powerful than the purchase!

  • OWNERSHIP: Downloading from our platform also allows you to own our music, outright, in perpetuity, without need of, and regardless of your streaming platform subscription. No Monthly Fees! And if you switch streaming services, you still have your music, like back in the good old days. We've gone OLD SCHOOL, Baby! 😂

  • SIZE: To save space on your device we’ve uploaded songs in high quality MP3 format, which is significantly smaller than the WAV files most streaming services use!

  • LYRICS: You get lyrics with every song, and I don’t know about you, but I like to have the lyrics so I can sing along to my favorite songs! This doesn’t always happen with the streaming services - it requires extra work and $$$ on our part to include lyrics for other streaming platforms.

Companion Songbooks Coming Soon!

Speaking of Lyrics, we are slated to create companion songbooks containing the lyrics to each song. These works of “Lyrical Poetry” are still in the conceptual stages. We have also tinkered with the idea of including either sheet music or guitar tab for each song, in the books.

Disclosure: We do not do tech support. Check your music platform instructions, or your device instructions to understand how to save and play your downloaded music.

Why The Change/Addition From Mainstream Streaming?

Given the changing landscape of music streaming and new restrictions being imposed, especially with AI-assisted music creation, as well as the expense of distribution, I decided I wanted to be in greater control over our music and how it gets distributed. I also wanted a tool that would allow me to drop a song without jumping through a dozen hoops before you get to hear it! So from now on:

ALL OF OUR SONGS WILL BE POSTED HERE FIRST

Select Songs Will be Made Into MUSIC VIDEOS (YouTube) &

Select Songs Will Be Distributed For Streaming in Places Like Apple Music & Spotify

Because much of the content we offer via our website and social media is FREE, or very reasonably priced, if I we are able to cut our costs in production, without quality suffering, that is a win for everyone.

The AI Music Debate

We could just post our songs and never mention that we are using AI to aid in production. But we believe in transparency. Whatever you think about AI Music creation is up to you. AI in general is controversial - we get that - we believe there are ways to use the tools responsibly and use our powers for good, which is what we are doing with the music. That said, the new restrictions you're seeing on AI Music, are something that is becoming as big an argument as music streaming vs. CDs and CD's vs. Cassettes and albums were. It's a new way of doing things, that hasn't worked out its kinks yet. If only people could see the computer as just another instrument. 🤔

It's NOT because said restrictions truly benefit artists & musicians - many of whom are now using AI tools in their own music production - and who I strongly believe should be compensated fairly for their work. It's because record labels (under the guise of "protecting artists," want their cut - and they want to lock down and/or own the music others (like me) create, without compensation to the creators and without consideration to how much or how little was AI vs. human involvement. It's a blanket approach that doesn't take into consideration the creative process or intellectual capital. And, it's because streaming platforms want control and profit - Spotify for instance, just announced its own AI music production tool -  and in doing so, may now restrict other AI music created with other tools, from being distributed on its platform.

Thus, our decision to HOST ALL OF OUR MUSIC on our site, might make our music less “visible” to the general public, but it makes it more accessible and affordable to you, and it gets it to you faster and with less red tape. And that’s what truly matters!

The AI Ethical/Environmental Debate:

While this is a real and ever-evolving debate, with merit, we’re not here to change anyone’s mind. Using AI to create music/art is a choice we have made, while taking into consideration all of the information regarding ethics and environmental impacts - and we’re not trying to claim there aren’t any. There are. And, one should also weigh pros, cons, other environmental contributors, like those mentioned in this Facebook article by my friend Ken Moskowitz. We won’t make excuses for using AI as a tool, but we will say that 1) Most people are using AI every day whether they realize it or not - every time you do a google search, every time you ask Siri a question, if you’re still actively using social media, if you’re asking questions on Amazon about products in the review section, chatting with support on your favorite website (it’s usually an AI bot first), doing research for a school project, etc. 2) Add to that, many of the people complaining about the environmental impacts of AI are still using it, regularly. And 3) There are other things that also negatively impact the environment to a great degree (see Ken’s article ⬆️) that no one is considering - including the EPA rollbacks from this regime - and we don’t see that many people pushing back OR not eating beef, for instance. Did you know that cattle produce up to 14% of the world’s methane gas which contributes heavily to global warming. We hardly eat beef anymore. So, trade offs? We also limit showering to offset water use 😂 (a common concern of AI impact). It’s not entirely a joke - we swim almost daily in a pool that rarely needs filled. 🏊‍♀️ None of this is to say that there aren't ALSO corporations and other entities abusing their privilege and causing damage, many certainly are. If you must clutch your pearls over the use of AI, be upset instead about the innumerable ways it's being misused by our own government to censor free speech, search and remove language and scientific research studies on government websites, and surveil innocent people

All that said, we try very hard to be purposeful in our AI usage - especially where music and art is concerned. We try not to be frivolous, running iteration after iteration, whenever we can help it. We also give back in other ways. So, if we're using our AI powers for good, does it make a difference in the end? We'd like to think so. But if you think differently, well then, that’s ok. You can choose to not listen, to not google, and to not contribute to the problem.
